Marios Lolos has been a professional photojournalist since 1990.
He has collaborated with various publications, and for 18 years, he worked at "Eleftheros Typos" covering a wide range of topics, from social and political issues to war zones. Since 2009, he has been the chief photographer for the Chinese news agency Xinhua.
Since 2015, he has been documenting the refugee crisis and its consequences, while also capturing the social impacts of the economic crisis in Greece since 2008.
He has participated in many group exhibitions with human-centered themes, such as the exhibition "Roads of Survival" in collaboration with the Hellenic Parliament Foundation.
His work "Children I Saw" was also exhibited at the Corfu Municipal Art Gallery in 2020. More recently, he presented his solo exhibition "Newly Homeless in Greece Today" at the Pasteur Institute (May 2024) and participated in collective exhibitions in Paris, Brussels, and Athens.
